Neighborhood social network app Nextdoor will launch its annual Treat Map on Thursday, Oct. 8 for its 14th year. This seasonal service allows neighborhood residents to mark whether they are giving out candy on Halloween night, as well as if they have decorated their houses or if they are holding events for the holiday.

The map allows prospective trick-or-treaters and their parents to plan safe routes through their neighborhood, avoiding houses that are not giving out candy while meeting neighbors and discovering new trick-or-treating spots.

The Treat Map also charts which neighborhoods across the country are giving out the most candy. According to Nextdoor, 47% of the app’s userbase uses the Treat Map to plan their family’s trick-or-treating route or list their house or event.
