Washington Ukrainian Festival

Discover Ukrainian culture at this festival at the St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, featuring traditional food and crafts. A portion of proceeds will be donated to relief efforts in Ukraine.

Brookside Gardens Children’s Day

Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Wheaton, MD

A day of art and science activities themed around gardening, including a puppet show, crafts, plant potting and a kids’ yoga class in the gardens

DC Family Bike Fest

Sept. 20, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. | Washington, D.C.

Bikers of all ages and skill levels can take part in the DC Family Bike Fest at Alethia Tanner Park, which includes a kids’ bike parade, free snow cones, a learn-to-ride class and other cycling-related attractions.
