St. Patrick’s Day is nearly here! Celebrate the occasion at a family-friendly street fair. There are also plenty of events happening in the DMV that aren’t holiday-related, including a pet-themed convention and a festival celebrating the power of art.

The Big Draw

This art festival is perfect for creative kids and encourages them to develop their art skills through collaborative drawing. In addition to workshops and panels led by award-winning artists and cartoonists, guests will be able to make chalk art, art books and architectural sketches. If your child needs some quiet time, there will also be plenty of art-themed story times.

Super Pet Expo

This convention celebrates everything we love about our furry, feathered and scaly friends! There will be pet competitions, panels on subjects like becoming a pet influencer, animal stunt shows and more. There will also be opportunities to meet different kinds of animals. This weekend is the opening weekend of the convention, which continues for two additional weekends this month (March 22-23 & March 29-30) and April 5, 6 & 12.
