Get ready to dance, hike and discover nature at this meeting of the Anacostia Community Museum’s monthly WILD Nature Play Club. This meeting will feature musical performances from Nick the Music Man and Pinky Jackalope, followed by a hike along the George Washington Carver Nature Trail, a story time and crafts.

Youth Democracy Fest

If your child or teen wants to become more involved in community affairs, this inaugural festival may be perfect for them. Held by community nonprofit organization The Civic Circle, this event features songs, poems and art inspired by the organization’s “seven steps to democracy” and created by students. There will also be performances by professional musicians.
