Spring Break Camps & Experiences for Kids in the DMV

Spring break is a great time for kids (and parents) to get a break from school and the never-ending barrage of homework assignments and enjoy more family time. But many parents still work during the day, so it can be helpful to have fun experiences to keep kids safe and occupied when they’re not at school.

Here are just a few options for spring break experiences in the DMV:

Bach to Rock Bethesda | April 14-18 (age ranges vary per camp)

Morning or afternoon half-day camps of full-day camps in a variety of themes, including B2R Glee Club, Rock Band, Rock City World Tour, DJ Camp or some combination. Morning half-day camps run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and afternoon half-day camps run from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Learn more about each option at bachtorock.com.

M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County | April 14-18

The Prince George’s County parks and recreation department announced five camps it has available for kids over spring break:

  • Spring Break Sports Camp | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., North Brentwood Community Center Indoor sports including soccer, basketball, football and more for ages 7 to 14; before- and aftercare available
  • Therapeutic Recreation Spring Break Camp | 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Palmer Park Community Center & Stephen Decatur Community Center for PG County residents with disabilities, focusing on an active and social atmosphere
  • Teen Adventure Spring Break Camp | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Kentland Community Center Nature- and environmental-themed activities, including hiking, fishing, boating and more for ages 11 to 17
  • Spring Break Recreation Camp | 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Rollingcrest – Chillum Community Center & Suitland Community Center for a variety of recreational activities for ages 6 to 12; before- and aftercare available
  • STEAM Spring Break Camp| 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Berwyn Heights Community Center STEAM-based activities including art, history, writing, math, fitness, swimming and field trips for ages 6 to 12

DC Bouldering Project Eckington Adventure Day Camps | April 14-18

Get the kiddos active and rock climbing all day at an Adventure Day at DC Bouldering Project indoor rock climbing gym on April 17 and April 18. Note: Space is limited and spots are filling up fast.
