Summer Jam: International Celebration!

Bug Fest at Lake Accotink Park

Bug-lovers of all ages won’t want to miss this community festival of the tiniest critters that call Maryland home. Attendees can embark on an insect safari and handle live specimens, as well as attending talks by experts. There are also plenty of non-bug-related activities in store, like a log-rolling competition and craft stations.

Children’s Day at Brookside Gardens

Kids rule at Brookside Gardens during this one-day event! Kids can learn about gardening and nature through a variety of activities, including a puppet show, yoga, potting plants and more. It’s a great opportunity for any budding green thumbs.
