In addition to language learning, gymnastics, wildlife exploration, performing arts and overnight experiences based in Jewish cultural traditions—highlighted in our first 2022 Summer Camp Directory Spotlights—here are another five camps from Washington, D.C. and Virginia that will challenge, stimulate and create bonds of friendship this summer.

Congressional Camp, a school-based camp from Congressional School in Falls Church, Virginia offers day camp, travel camps, and dozens of specialty camps broken down according to age group. Some specialty options include Art with Nature and Recycle Creators and Congo Camp Cooking Show.

Hone your hockey skills at MedStar Capitals Iceplex where you can learn from the Washington Capitals mascot, Slapshot, as your honorary camp director.

Mason Game and Technology Academy at George Mason University gives students an early opportunity to connect with university professors and gaming industry professionals. Learn from faculty and graduate students from the university’s Game Design and Computer Science programs who also have start-ups at the Virginia Serious Gaming Institute. Your child can engage in applied research and game development.
