March31, 1990, a rainy day in Charleston, SC, but it was meant to be,because when we got engaged the prior July and decided on a Springwedding, this was the only Saturday that worked for the church, reception site, florist, band, and photographer. Must have been fate,it was over 21 years ago! – Susan

Adam andI got married on May 21, 2011 (yes – just 11 days ago). I have twodaughters – 10 and 7, which took part in our wedding by reading poemsthey composed themselves about what it means to be part of a combinedfamily. With over 30 kids under 14 invited, the whole wedding was afamily-friendly affair with ceremony activity packs for the kids, placemats & crayons at the reception, and kids meals as a foodchoice. It is hard as parents to take anytime for yourselves, evenwhen it is your own wedding. – Ashley

We got married. Sept 3,1994 We decided to get married that weekend because both of myhusband’s sisters would be in town for the holiday. He is the onlyboy and really wanted his whole family to be present on our specialday. Now 16 1/…2 years later, we have three healthy boys that keepus on the go. A weekend getaway would be awesome! A weekend away, just the two of us without soccer games, art class, spanish class, football, etc. We could certainly use some “mommie & daddytime” – Crystal

We now have three kids — 7, 5, and 1 — agetaway would be an amazing way to mark our 10th anniversary!- Maureen

We were married November25, 1995. It was Thanksgiving week and it gave our out-of-town guestsa chance to attend without having to take time off. It was also theweek that the hotel put up it’s holiday decorations – saved us a lotof money. We didn’t need to order floral arrangements – they wereeverywhere! Our anniversary falls on Thanksgiving from time to timeand it’s a nice double celebration. – Tanya

October 19, 1996 Ourfirst date was November 19, 1995. We love Autumn and wanted to enjoythat time of year in a special way, but while it was still warmenough to enjoy. The previous Saturday was part of Columbus Dayweekend and we want…ed so many people at our wedding, as we bothcome from large families, so we tried to make it an easy weekend forthem. And if we had waiting until Nov. 19, 96, it was aroundThanksgiving and was potentially too chilly and the leaves wouldn’tbe as pretty. My favorite part about our whole wedding is that weused my grandparents’ little country church in Ashburn. My parentswere married there and I used to do VBS there when I was a kid, so itheld many special memories. The music was amazing, as we were gracedwith an EWI (Electronic Woodwind Instrument) Ensemble. They madeclassical pieces sound as if an entire orchestra was present for ourspecial day. It was such a wonderful day, even with the rain! – Kim
