MyDrinky Juice Box Holder – Avoid the Squeeze!

All parents love the convenience of juice boxes and food pouches. They are easy to throw in your bag for quick, single serving snacks on the go. Bit inevitably, your toddler will give the box/pouch a squeeze or turn it over and there is juice or puree everywhere. The MyDrinky Juice Box Holder by InchBug is here to help with this messy dilemma.

The InchBug company was founded by a “mompreneur” in 2005 who created their first successful project, an adhesive-free labeling method called the Orbit label. Committed to “creating products that solve common parenting challenges,” the ideas kept flowing and the MyDrinky Juice Box was developed.

MyDrinky is currently the only product which can hold anything from a 4 ounce juice box to a much larger pouch. Its unique design with a hard plastic top, base and a button that snaps into place connecting the two parts (and allowing for size adjustment) keeps boxes or pouches safely in place while eliminating the risk of an inadvertent squeeze. In addition, the top has two large handles that are easy for any size toddler to grasp and also promotes independent feeding.

My only word of warning is to fit the juice box/pouch in the holder before opening or inserting the straw. I made the mistake of poking the straw through the box first and a bit of juice came out when I was securing the two pieces of the MyDrinky.

Both my 1 year-old and 4 year-old loved this product. My son (4) was happy to not have his parents constantly reminding him “don’t squeeze the juice box” and also loved that he could now have juice in the car as a treat. He also liked the bright green color and the cat face design.

We were very happy to find the MyDrinky also would accommodate the popular food pouches. My daughter (1) was thrilled to feed herself pouches without us holding it for her. She was able to easily grip the handles and finish every last drop of puree. She also constantly turned it upside down and nothing leaked out!

MyDrinky comes in four bright colors – green, red, purple and blue, each of which is a cat face design with the “nose” acting as the button that snaps into place for sizing. The cost is $9.99, which seems a bit steep, but it is very well made and worth it for the ability to eliminate messes. In doing a bit of research, the MyDrinky seems a bit hard to locate currently in stores.

Pros:

• Protects from squeezing and dumping of juice/food

• Fits and secures all sizes of juice boxes

• Also can be used for food pouches

• Easy for toddler to grip with two handles

• Easy to take apart and wash

Cons:

• A bit bulky

• Hard to find places to purchase

• Only one design – a cat face
