We feel that moms are not celebrated nearly enough for all they do for their families, their communities, and their work. They care for us when we’re sick, pack hundreds of school lunches, help us with our homework and make sure we have everything we need. As we grow up, they’re only a phone call away for advice and motherly wisdom. They support us financially and emotionally throughout our lives. They give everything to us and we think it’s time we give back to them!
That leads us to Washington FAMILY’s Moms of the Year contest!

Who is eligible to be named Mom of the Year?
Maybe she owns her own business and is going back to school while juggling three kids. Maybe she’s a local philanthropic icon. Maybe she’s an insightful and wonderful friend who is always there for you when you need advice. She could be your mom. She could be you.
The voting process will run until March 14th. It’s as simple as reading the moms stories and choosing the one that speaks to you the most.
There will be 12 moms of the year and the winners will receive a feature article in Washington FAMILY, which will also be on www.washingtonFAMILY.com, a spot as the guest of honor at our Mom of the Year banquet, and frequently featured on our website and social media.
