Gifts for Moms

Mother’s Day only comes around once a year, why not make it extra special this May!  FAMILY Magazine wants to know what Moms want. What have you been given in the past that you loved? Is there a favorite activity you enjoy doing with your kids or maybe you want some alone time with Dad? Let us know! We want to share your ideas with Moms all over DC, Maryland and Virgina.

Please post your comments on our Facebook page or email them to [email protected].

Here’s what they’re saying…

“a personalized mamma/baby bird necklace I found on Etsy”  –TC

“An overnight stay at the beach with my BFF, my little girl.”  –DE

“I always used to love to plant flowers wiht my little girls when they were smaller..now we do more grown-up things like go out to eat..I really like the simpler ways of celebrating, and this economy gives us a chance to be more creative that way!”  –TMM

An outing! No cooking, no entertaining, no plans, just a day of fun at a place I like, doing what I like, grabbing a bite to eat and just being!  –MOC

“I want a night out with my military hubby, getting a massage and dinner and a movie. he works hard for money.”  –JMN

“I am a mom to a teen so I’d like a mother daughter date, like we used to do when it was when she was a lil one – shopping, manis, movies and lunch!”  –GHW

“Roses.”  –AMA

“I would like to be pampered. Breakfast in bed, fresh flowers, fruit and hot muffins, hey…maybe even champagne with a strawberry in the glass!”  –BH

In the past we have asked moms what gifts they love to receive and offered advice to Dad on how to help the kids prepare a “breakfast in bed for mom.” Here is a link to what they have told us before.
