BomaSense is a line of natural skin and hair products. Its product literature and website say the company uses safe, natural ingredients for their entire line of products. The website says its philosophy is that what you put on your body affects your body internally, as well, so its products are designed for people with chronic problems. BomaSense does not test its products on animals. BomaSense products are all natural; they are also pretty pricey at $15 for an 8–oz. bottle.
BomaSense products come in three scents: mango, lavender and unscented. I had trial sizes of the mango body/face wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Other than the body wash, the samples lasted me more than two weeks with daily showering and hair washing. The mango scent was very strong the first time I used it, but I got used to that, and it wasn’t overpowering in subsequent uses.
The shampoo cleaned my hair well, but not enough to be paying $15 for a small bottle. I also needed to use a lot of it to get a good lather. I liked the conditioner a lot more. It is watery, but I learned after my first use that I did not need to use a lot of it. The conditioner takes only a little for it to work. It rinses out easily, and when I comb my hair afterwards, it is tangle free. So I did really like the conditioner.
So I have fair, sensitive skin, especially on my face. I did not like the body wash. I had to use a lot of it to get a good lather on my puff. Also after I finished bathing, my skin felt tight and dry afterwards. I washed my face only once with the wash because I have sensitive skin and did not like how my face felt afterwards.
The body lotion is not thick (it’s actually a little watery), but it works nicely. It absorbed quickly. I did not have a greasy feeling. Even though the mango scent was apparent when I first put it on, it dissipated quickly. I also did not have any skin irritations from using the lotion.
In summation, I was not wowed enough by the products to purchase them for myself. The sample bottles lasted me a while, but that does not sway me. The scent was subtle and nice. I usually purchase much less–expensive products, and they last a long time and have nice scents. However, if I had a friend who was more concerned with all–natural products that did not test products on animals, I would consider buying BomaSense for him or her.BomaSense Mango Gift Pack: shampoo, conditioner, lotion and wash
