Sport Bounce of Loudoun

Come Jump for Joy at Sport Bounce of Loudoun!

Driving down the Loudoun County Parkway, you might miss this little gem located in a warehouse/office park.  When I pulled into the parking lot, I was slightly weary and wasn’t sure what to expect, but once I was inside and greeted by the friendly staff my mind was at ease.

My 19-month old, Charlotte, and I spent our Friday morning bouncing, sliding, playing and having a good old time at Sport Bounce of Loudoun.  The Sport Bounce is a 10,000+ square foot facility consisting of 3 bounce houses (with varying degrees of obstacles and slides), two large inflatable slides, inflatable basketball hoops, benches and tables for parents and caregivers to hang out while big kids play.

There is also a toddler toy room for the smaller kids.  There are a number of things I really liked about Sport Bounce of Loudon.

First, not only is Sport Bounce kid friendly and family oriented, it is also a family-owned and operated local business, not a franchise.  Sport Bounce has “Open Bounce” open gym times at the same time each weekday for children 18-months and up.

The weekends are reserved for parties, and while we were not there for a party, I can imagine it being a fun time as well.  You can find more information about birthday parties and additional activities Sport Bounce has to offer on their website.

We chose to visit during “Junior Jumpers,” which are sessions for ages 18 months to 5 years old only.   Since my little one is only 19 months old, I was a little worried about her getting “trampled” by older kids.  It was so nice to have this option where I knew most of the kids would be younger and she had fun playing with other kids her age.

Sport Bounce is fun for all ages.  Parental supervision is required during Open Bounce, and they encourage families to play together.  Parents are able to enjoy the inflatables with their children.

In addition to special Open Bounce times for smaller kids, there is an awesome toddler toy room for little ones to play.  Charlotte loved spending time here during our visit.  She had fun switching between the Crayon inflatable bounce house with a small slide just her size and the toy room with rocking toys, bouncy balls and hula hoops.

We also enjoyed climbing up the large inflatable slide together and riding down, which was fun for both of us.  I loved seeing the look on her face after going down the slides, she had a blast!

Another great thing about Sport Bounce is that it’s pretty affordable.  Admission is $10 per child (24 months and up) and $6 per toddler (18-23 months); 18 months is the minimum age to use any of the inflatables.

There is no charge for adults (age 17 or older) and no charge for siblings under 18 months when accompanied by an older child.  There is also an option to purchase a “Discount Jumper Card” good for 10 bounce session for $70, with no expiration date.

In my opinion, $10 (or $6 for a toddler) is a good price for an hour and half of jumping, bouncing, climbing, sliding fun and entertainment on a hot summer (or rainy) day; totally worth it.  After our visit, Charlotte took a nice long nap, which was another bonus.

One of the most important things I noticed during our visit is that the facility is really clean.  No food is allowed during open bounce, however, water is permitted and I would definitely recommend it.  All jumpers, including adults, must wear socks to enter the moonbounces.  They do not make any exceptions.  If you forget socks, they have them available for purchase.

Finally, Sport Bounce has its very own gourmet coffee bar, Jumpin’ Java, which is open during weekday bounce times and in addition to lattes and cappuccinos, they serve fruit smoothies, frozen lemonade, hot chocolate, blended coffee drinks and chai tea.  Again, the drinks are very affordable and tasty.  I tried a latte and it was just as good as Starbucks for only $3!

All in all, we had a great morning playing and I really recommend Sport Bounce as a fun place to play for kids of all ages.
