The trees are flowering and the grass is green again—but is your home?
This Saturday, the Healthy Homes Fair is opening the door for families looking to build a greener future.
The fair, offering practical tips for families to adapt their homes to combat climate change, will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 6 at 2001 East Capitol St. SE, in Washington, D.C.
The fair is free to attend and will include more than 70 exhibitors, an appliance “petting zoo,” a bouncy castle for kids, food trucks, cooking demonstrations and more. There will also be a scavenger hunt to win prizes such as state-of-the-art induction cooktops and portable plug-in versions.
Exhibitors will be on hand to show renters and homeowners alike how to decarbonize their homes. Families can also learn about the D.C. Ebike Inventive, test e-bike brands and models and connect with local shops and organizations.
