Family Story Time

16th Annual Georgetown French Market

One of the most anticipated shopping weekends arrives when Book Hill merchants, restaurants, salons and galleries display their wares in an inviting open-air market. Evoking the outdoor markets of Paris, guests can wander between shops and galleries, tempted by the aroma of fresh coffee and croissants while enjoying the sounds of strolling musicians. Field of Tulips at CityCenterDC

The Park at CityCenter will be filled with thousands of tulips for visitors to pick and purchase for just $1 a stem at this second annual Tulip Festival! A portion of the proceeds from the weekend will be donated to D.C. Central Kitchen. FREE, 10 a.m., CityCenterDC, Washington, D.C.

Jurassic Quest

Come out to Jurassic Quest, the largest and most realistic dinosaur event in the U.S. Enjoy over 80 life-size dinosaurs, walking dinosaur rides, fossil digs, fossil stations, a dinosaur petting zoo and much more! $20-$36, 9 a.m., Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly, VA.

Jane Franklin Dance: Complete Dogness

A family-friendly performance about a dog with bad habits who learns new tricks. The performance incorporates spoken word, movement, music, kinetic imaging and animation by Hong Huo and interactive participatory activities for young children. $10-$15, 4 p.m., Theatre on the Run, Arlington, VA.

30th Annual Rockville Science Day

This event features a variety of science and technology-related exhibits, activities, games and demos. Activities and exhibits include rocket-building (and launching), telescope viewing, a traveling planetarium, all kinds of robots, backyard wildlife, ship models, microscopes, snakes, oyster farming, Botball, stream science and much, much more! FREE, noon, Montgomery College, Rockville, MD.

2019 Walk on the Hill

Held each spring since 1971, Walk on the Hill is one of Vienna’s loveliest events, offering self-guided tours through approximately 50 participating yards and gardens in Vienna’s historic Windover Heights neighborhood. Enjoy lovely gardens, live entertainment and refreshments. Learn more about the history and efforts to make Vienna more sustainable. FREE, 2 p.m., Windover Ave., N.W., Vienna, VA.
