Get Your Wands Out

Any Potterheads looking to nerd out are in luck this weekend. You have not one, but two chances to get out and see one of your favorite Harry Potter movies this weekend: The Bullpen will be showing “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” on Friday for those wanting to see the origins of the iconic series, and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” on Sunday for all the Robert Pattinson fans out there. Friday, Aug. 14 & Sunday, Aug. 16, 7-11 p.m. $15-30.

Experiment with Science

If your kids are in search of new, hands-on activities, look no further: the American Chemistry Society is hosting an online Kids Zone event this weekend which will feature four different STEM-related activities for your kids to try out. There will be two different events, one in English and one in Spanish. Tune in to see the reigning Miss America, Camille Schrier of Virginia. Saturday, Aug., 15. English, 3-4 p.m.; Spanish, 4-5 p.m. Registration required.

Rise, Rhyme and Read

This event has it all: age-appropriate exercises, positive affirmations, music and a story. Make sure not to miss Busboys and Poets’ music, movement and storytelling event, hosted by literary ambassador Culture Queen. All available from the restaurant’s Facebook Live! Saturday, Aug. 15, 10-10:30 a.m.
