George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate is holding a day of family fun in honor of the first president’s birthday! Guests can make hoecakes, tour the Mount Vernon mansion, enjoy a United States Air Force Strings concert and watch a naturalization ceremony.

Black History Month Family Day at Josiah Henson Museum and Park

Reverend Josiah Henson was a well-known abolitionist and founder of Dawn, a Canadian settlement for former slaves who had escaped captivity through the Underground Railroad.
