Take Remote Learning on the Road with an Education Vacation to Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is providing an education vacation experience with its new “Learn and Play by the Bay” program. Families visiting the resort have access to educational amenities and experiences including the brand-new Hyatt Chesapeake Bay Learning Room where children can complete their school work, immersive excursions including nature walks and tours of local historical sites, and direct access to area tutors.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Learning Room features a classroom environment where families staying at the property can complete school work.  It provides wireless internet, plug-in ready tables, and is located next to the Bay Country Market to provide easy access to food and beverage options throughout the day.

In addition to access to the Learning Room, guests can work from the comfort of their rooms with plug-in ready desks, as well as plug-in ready alcoves socially spaced in the lobby area. With the resorts free WiFi, guests can also work while lounging poolside or relaxing near the banks of the Choptank River.

Families can take a variety of educational excursions including tours of the property’s on-site oyster farming exhibit, which showcases live oysters sourced from Chesapeake Bay, and provides more information on the history and evolution of oyster farming practices in the region.  Guests can also opt for guided tours of the property’s 18-acre wildlife refuge, where they can learn about local wildlife and bird species including wild turkey, bald eagles, and the famous Blue Heron.

In addition to the on-site excursions, guests can also find an abundance of learning experiences in Downtown Cambridge and around Dorchester County. Visit Dorchester is currently offering self-guided walking and driving audio tours through their online app.  The tours include narrated history of Downtown Cambridge, Historic Pine Street which stops at a house along Harriet Tubman’s Underground Railroad Byway, and a driving tour of the Chesapeake Mural Trail through Cambridge, Vienna, and East New Market.

The “Learn & Play by the Bay” amenities are available for all overnight guests staying at the property based on availability.  Access to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Learning Room will be limited each day in order to ensure social distancing practices. Guest will also have access to a list of tutors in the Cambridge area who specialize in a variety of school subjects and are available for hire on an hourly basis.

Just in time for the change of season, the resort is also providing the Getaway Fall promotion.  Guests can save 15 percent off their room rate plus breakfast for two each day when they use the booking code GET19B.  The offer is available on bookings made before November 30, 2020, for stay dates between September 13 and December 19, 2020.
