Snugli Booster Car Seat

The Snugli Harnessed Booster is a 2-in-1 booster car seat. It can be used as a harnessed booster or it can be used in conjunction with your car’s seat belt. It is suitable for children weighing anywhere from 22 – 110 lbs. When I took the car seat out of the box, I was surprised by how light it felt. I checked the manual and found that it is only 13.5 pounds. It would make a great car seat to travel with if you needed to take one to the airport.

I was also happy with the design. The chic pinstripe fabric is a nice light grey color with darker grey accents and a few pops of lime green. I’ve never been a fan of the car seats with bold and bright prints, so this was perfect for my preference of a simple, clean look. The fabric is also very soft to the touch. In addition, the fabric has temperature controlling technology that has the ability to prevent overheating and reduce chilling.

I was very impressed with the ease of installation. This was definitely the easiest car seat that I’ve installed (the other brands of car seats we have are Graco and Britax). The Snugli booster seat has SureLatch connectors that make it very easy to use your car’s latch system. You simply pull the connectors and push them onto each seat anchor. The connectors are retractable so they automatically tighten for you. It is just as easy to unhook the connectors.

My 3 1/2 year old was very excited to try out this new booster seat for the first time. It was very easy for her to climb into the seat. She especially loves having two cup holders.

The one thing I don’t like about this booster seat is the chest clip and buckle on the harness. They are both very difficult to unlatch and require me to use both hands. I still find it difficult using both hands, so this was a big disappointment for me. I can use one hand on our Britax and Graco car seats to unlatch the chest clip and buckle. As a busy mom of two children, I am usually holding multiple things and need a harness that is quicker and easier to unlatch.

Overall, the Snugli booster seat seems like a quality car seat. It has many great features but the harness chest clip and buckle need improving.
