Fitzgerald Auto Malls Awards a New Hyundai Lease to the MCPS Teacher of the Year

ROCKVILLE, MD – April 27, 2017  Fitzgerald Auto Malls presented Nancy Shay with a lease to a new 2017 Hyundai Sonata at the 15th Annual Champions for Children awards celebration yesterday evening. Hosted by the Montgomery County Business Roundtable for Education (MCBRE), the 2017-2017 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Teacher award honors excellence in education.

“Fitzgerald is delighted to congratulate Nancy Shay for all of her dedication and hard work,” said Rob Smith, Vice President of Fitzgerald Auto Malls, “She is a true inspiration and her work with her students will help them to reach their potential and to succeed.”

Ms. Shay has worked for MCPS for nearly 30 years, and is the English resource teacher at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville. She will now go on to compete for Maryland Teacher of the Year.

MCBRE is a non-profit organization comprising of senior business leaders who share their expertise with MCPS leadership and sponsor programs that connect what students are learning in the classroom to the real world. The Champions for Children awards program is a way to honor the commitments of distinguished educators, MCPS staff, and organizations in the community that demonstrate a high regard for youth education and a passion for reaching each and every student.
