Fright at the Museum: Dead Men Walking

From 1916-1960 one hundred and twenty five men were executed in the Tennesseeelectric chair. In 2008, the chair made its way to the National Museum of Crime& Punishment…and so did its ghosts.

This Halloween season the museum will no longer be just a storage house forcriminal artifacts; it will become a hunting ground for these dead men walking.Experience Fright at the Museum. Hear the screams…Smell the fear…See thehorror…and if you’re lucky –They won’t TOUCH you!

SpookyMovie International Horror Film Festival

Founded in 2006, the Spooky Movie International Horror Film Festival isWashington, D.C’s only genre-based film festival. Air & Scare at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

Our annual Halloween event, Air & Scare, features the spooky side of airand space at the Udvar-Hazy Center! Each year, people arrive in costume forsafe indoor trick-or-treating. They participate in creepy crafts, spookyscience experiments, and other Halloween-themed activities. The tiniestvisitors check out the Tot Zone to play dress-up and hear a story. They caneven pose for a photo with their favorite Star Wars character!

The parade kicks off at 6:00pm from Ida Lee Park and will travel south on KingStreet to the Virginia Village Shopping Center at Fairfax Street. The parade isa Leesburg tradition for more than 50 years!

The 31st Annual Fall Jubilee, in Historic Old Town Manassas will be held on October 5, 2013 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Mount Vernon’s Wine Festival and Sunset Tours

Mount Vernon’s Fall Wine Festival & Sunset Tour celebrates the history of wine in Virginia with candlelit tours of the Mansion, including the rarely-open basement where Washington stored his wine, and live blues on the east lawn overlooking the scenic Potomac River. Guests can sample wines from 16 Virginia wineries, learn about the successes and failures of our Founding Father’s wine endeavors, and meet “George and Martha Washington” on the Mansion’s piazza.
