Fair Lakes FallFest

Did back-to-school shopping and fall activities nearly break your budget? Get ready for a festival for that is free to attend and jam-packed with fun for the whole family! The Fair Lakes FallFest is taking place on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 1-4 p.m. My family went last year and had a blast. This year’s festival is even bigger and better!

Kids will love the “Living Rainforest Animal Show,” featuring the hilarious antics of Dexter the Lemur and his boa, iguana and macaw friends, and engaging in animal encounters in the petting zoo. Plus, little transportation fans can take a complimentary ride on the FallFest train and tour fire and police vehicles. Let your children bounce their energy out on the giant inflatables and partake in traditional fair fun with face painting, balloon twisting, carnival games and strolling costumed characters.

The Fair Lakes FallFest is deeply rooted in developing and encouraging a sense of community, and many local businesses will be on-site providing interactive booths, live entertainment and valuable giveaways. Plus, what is a festival without some great food? Delicious fare will be for sale from food vendors, such as Jersey Mike’s Subs and Whole Foods Market.

The Fair Lakes FallFest is offered through compliments of the Fair Lakes League and area sponsors. The event is located at 12450 Fair Lakes Circle (just across the street from Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods). Ample, free parking is available at the event site.
