I’ve used several methods for making my baby’s pureed food: a blender, and food processor, and now the Dr. Brown Puree and Simple Immersion Blender. I really like the immersion blender because it gives me more control of the consistency of the puree.
The blender has two speeds and is easy to hold in one hand. As you blend the food you can move the blender around the bowl, add more liquidas desired, and blend until you reach the smoothness your baby is readyfor. It was easy to make a batch of baby food (steamed carrots for example), blend them with the immersion blender, and freeze them in an ice cube tray.
The blender also comes with a little recipe book of purees and dips to make for babies and toddlers. The recipes even detail the different vitamins that each food offers your baby so that you can provide a varied diet. If you think making your baby’s food is a daunting task, The Puree and Simple Immersion Blender makes it easy to prepare simple, healthy food right in your own kitchen.
And as an added bonus, if you ever want to cook up some creamy black bean soup, you can use the immersion blender for that too. It’s not justfor baby food!
