A new Celebree School is now open in Tysons, Virginia.
Located at Valo Park, 7950 Jones Branch Drive, the school is open for prospective families to meet the staff and tour the school on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Live music, games, crafts and fall-themed treats and chances to win tuition promotions await families who register on site.
The for-profit school will serve children from 6 weeks to 6 years old, with a learning model focused on community and educating the whole child.
The goal is to make the transition between home and school easier.
“At Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch, our child center is also a place that will feel like a second home for your child,” the school’s website notes. “We offer warm, colorful, friendly classrooms, filled with opportunities for hands-on learning.”
First-time franchisee Kate Mulcahy says that she and her husband, Brian, were drawn to the idea of offering a distinctive learning environment for local children and families.
Each Celebree franchise has a customized education model that addresses the physical, social, emotional and academic needs of children and cultivates skills in science, technology, engineering, art and math, or STEAM, at any early age.
The first Celebree School opened in Ellicott City in 1994 as a learning center and expanded to five Maryland counties and Delaware by 2007.
In 2016, founder Richard Huffman began developing a franchise model to allow the school’s footprint to grow more quickly. That model kicked off in 2019. Celebree now has 26 corporate schools and 44 franchise licenses currently in motion.
Huffman’s goal is to reach 100 new schools by 2025.
Celebree School of Tysons-Jones Branch will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, visit the school’s website.
