- Mad Science of Washington was opened in 1995 by a husband-wife team of two Montgomery County Public School teachers. The staff of Mad Science has deep roots in the DC area. This gives us a unique perspective as educators, students, and parents across the entire metro area- from Baltimore to Quantico, and everything in between.Today, Mad Science of Washington averages approximately 150 workshops per month, many of which are tailored to meet curriculum standards. In addition, we run over 350 after-school enrichment classes, 250 assemblies, and over 700 birthday parties per year.
Finally, Mad Science in Washington runs the regions largest science-based summer camp program, serving over 1500 kids each summer. In 2020, we were proud to be selected as Washington Parent Magazine’s WINNER in the category of STEM Summer Camps & Programs. Always honing and perfecting our programs, we expect future summers to be even better!
Mad Science Camps offer hands-on discovery and exploration of scientific principles. Your child will be able to touch, see, hear, and smell what science is really all about!
