Meet Some Monarchs
Cure your end-of-summer blues with one last glimpse of the monarch butterfly. Stop by Black Hill Nature Programs and Visitors Center to learn about the beautiful bug’s life cycle and help park naturalists send them on their fall migration. The closing of movie theaters around the country has led to the resurgence of an old family favorite—the drive-in movie. Run Like a Superhero
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the Superhero 5k! If you and your family could use a breath of fresh air, put on your capes and make the trek out to Occoquan Regional Park. There will be three main heats as well as a run-at-your-own-pace option, so you can rest assured you’ll all be able to maintain social distancing. Plus, pets are welcome! Sunday, Sept. 13.
