1. Night of the Living Zoo

The National Zoo is continuing its annual Halloween party this year with tons of performances from palm readers, illusionists, fire eaters, talking bats, monsters, mummies and more! Dress up in your best costume and experience the thrill of a “haunted” zoo.
2. Silver Spring Zombie Walk

The Silver Spring Zombie Walk is an annual Halloween party held in various locations around Silver Spring, MD. Come dressed up in your ultimate zombie costume and get ready to embrace the zombie life for a night! The walk includes live music and performances, as well as a screening of Dead Snow 2 at the AFI Silver Theatre post-walk.
3. Halloween Haunt at Kings Dominion

Through November 2, Fridays 7 p.m.-midnight, Saturdays 10:30 a.m.-midnight, and Sundays 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

Enjoy scary entertainment, including mazes, scare zones, thrill rides, monsters and more. Family-favorite activities include hay mazes, pumpkin painting and live entertainment.
4. Air and Scare

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, VA
The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is putting on a Halloween event the whole family will love! Arrive in costume for indoor trick-or-treating, spooky science experiments and other Halloween-themed activities. Take photos with your favorite Star Wars or Ghostbusters characters.
5. National Symphony Orchestra Concert: Halloween Whodunit

John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Wear your spookiest costumes and get ready to enjoy the spine-tingling and bone-chilling classics such as Adam Glaser’s March of the Little Goblins and some new favorites like “Let It Go” from the hit movie, Frozen. Come early for trick-or-treating!
6. Trick or Treat at Tudor Place

Children get to trick-or-treat through the enchanting Tudor Place gardens while also enjoying pumpkin painting, crafts, face painting and tons of games!
7. Del Ray Halloween Parade

Mt. Vernon Ave. and Commonwealth – Alexandria, VA
Special dignitaries and elected officials, children and pets parade in their Halloween costumes in this annual event. Awards are given for best costume and more!
8. Field of Screams

9. Clifton Haunted Trail

This Clifton trail includes terrifying sights and freaky movie re-enactments. The haunted train winds through 8 acres and is full of scary surprises.

12. Historic Haunt

Participate in a spooky scavenger hunt in and around Laurel, MD. Starting at Montpelier Arts Center, guests will sample delicious foods and cocktails while participating in historical trivia, ghostly activity and extra spooky tales!
13. Creepy Nights on Calamo

The annual Halloween spectacle features a terrifying haunted house, which includes animatronics, special effects and live actors.The attraction also features a free family-friendly Halloween Music & Light show that runs every night in October.
